Overview
Little Rock Central High School is still a working public high school and a national historic site.
History
In 1957, nine Black students, the Little Rock Nine, were blocked from entering the school. President Eisenhower sent federal troops to protect them. The school became a national historic site in 1998.
Today
The visitor center across the street tells the story, and the school remains open to students.
