Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-20. Effective October 20, 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and STEM Technology, LLC, doing business as Guardix (“Guardix Jobs,” “we,” “us”). They apply to the Guardix Jobs website and services. By ticking the box at sign-up, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t create an account.
1. What Guardix Jobs is
Guardix Jobs is a free online marketplace where licensed private security officers (“guards”) find jobs and shifts, and security companies and other businesses (“employers”) post them.
We are not an employer, staffing agency, employment agency or labor contractor. We don’t hire anyone, place anyone, set pay, or supervise work. Any job is between the guard and the employer. We don’t guarantee that you’ll find a job, that a job is still open, or that any guard or employer is suitable.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be able to form a binding contract and use the service in the United States.
- Employers must also accept the Employer Agreement.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- One account per person. Don’t share your account, codes or password.
- Employer accounts must use two-step sign-in, which can’t be turned off.
- Tell us right away at support@guardix.com if you think someone else has used your account.
- We may ask you to confirm your identity again, for example before a sensitive action or if we see unusual activity.
4. It’s free
Guardix Jobs doesn’t charge guards or employers. Employers may never charge applicants any fee, for any reason, through or because of Guardix Jobs. We may add, change or remove features. If we ever plan to charge for something, we’ll tell you first and ask you to agree.
5. License and company checks
The Guardix team reviews guards’ security licenses and employers’ business and security company licenses by hand. We do not check licenses live with the state agency that issued them. These reviews reduce risk but aren’t a guarantee. A “reviewed” badge means our team’s review passed on the date shown. It isn’t a background check or a recommendation.
Employers remain responsible for every check the law requires of them, including state licensing and registration rules, employment eligibility, and any background check.
6. What you may not do
- Give false information, or use someone else’s license, identity or account.
- Post jobs that aren’t real, or that are unlawful, misleading or discriminatory.
- Ask anyone for money, gift cards, payment-app transfers, bank details, or Social Security numbers through Guardix Jobs messages.
- Harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
- Copy, scrape or collect data from Guardix Jobs, or use it for anything other than finding or filling jobs.
- Try to get around our security, rate limits or checks, or interfere with the service.
7. Messages and content
You’re responsible for what you post and send. You let us host, store, display and transmit it as needed to run Guardix Jobs.
To protect users from scams, our systems automatically scan messages for requests for money or financial details and block them. Blocked messages are kept in our security records. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.
8. Text messages, privacy and biometric data
Our Text Message Terms, Privacy Policy and Biometric Data Notice are part of these terms.
9. Suspension and closing your account
You can delete your account anytime in your account settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or that we’re required to close by law. Where it’s safe and lawful, we’ll tell you why.
10. Other services we rely on
Guardix Jobs runs on services from Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, face comparison), Twilio (text messages) and Google (map and distance lookups). Their outages can affect Guardix Jobs.
11. Disclaimers
Guardix Jobs is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Guardix Jobs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost wages, profits or data. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to US $100. Some states don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
13. Your responsibility to us
If a claim is brought against us because of your content, your job posts, your hiring decisions, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, to the extent the law allows.
14. Disputes
Before filing a claim, contact us at support@guardix.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any court case must be brought in [COUNTY AND STATE], except that either side may bring an individual claim in small-claims court.
[Attorney to decide: whether to add an arbitration agreement with a class-action waiver, and its terms.]
15. Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we’ll show you the new version and ask you to accept it before you continue using Guardix Jobs. We keep a record of which version you accepted and when.
