Overview

Angel Stadium of Anaheim is the home ballpark of Major League Baseball's Los Angeles Angels. Its giant "Big A" sign, first built as the stadium's scoreboard, is a local landmark.

History

The stadium opened in 1966 as Anaheim Stadium, after the Angels moved from Los Angeles. It was enlarged for football when the Los Angeles Rams played there from 1980 to 1994, and was renovated back into a baseball-focused ballpark in the late 1990s.

Today

The stadium hosts Angels games, concerts and other events, and its parking lots are used for large community gatherings.
