Overview
Plano is home to the headquarters or main U.S. offices of several large companies, many of them in the Legacy business area in the west of the city.
History
Electronic Data Systems (EDS) built a large campus in the Legacy area in the 1980s, which helped establish the district. Later arrivals included J. C. Penney, which moved its headquarters to Plano in 1992, and Toyota Motor North America, which moved its North American headquarters to Plano from California in 2017. PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division is also based in Plano.
Today
