Overview
Globe Life Field is a ballpark with a retractable roof and the home of Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers. It replaced the open-air Globe Life Park across the street.
History
The ballpark opened in 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic kept fans out for most of its first season. That fall it hosted the 2020 World Series as a neutral site. The Rangers won their first World Series title in 2023, and the ballpark hosted the MLB All-Star Game in 2024.
Today
Besides baseball, Globe Life Field hosts concerts and other events, and the surrounding district has hotels, restaurants and Texas Live! entertainment venues.
